Emergency loan: Preston boss Darren Ferguson[LNB]Manchester United youngster Matty James will join Preston North End until the end of the season when the emergency loan window opens on Tuesday.[LNB]The England Under-20 midfielder becomes the second United player to utilise the family connection between the two clubs, following Danny Welbeck's loan to Deepdale last month.[LNB]Preston boss Darren Ferguson is the son of Reds boss Sir Alex and will be keen for parental guidance as he aims to turn North Ends' season around. [LNB]Ferguson Jnr said: '[Matty] is a good passer, he's got plenty of energy, he's a good size for a young lad, he'll come into it on Tuesday and we are looking forward to working with him. [LNB]'It's an area which I said we have needed to strengthen, so I am pleased to get him on board, he's a good one for us.'[LNB]The 18-year-old has limited first team experience but was included on the bench for United's Champions League clash with Wolfsburg in December.[LNB]Welbeck moved to Deepdale with already 24 first-team appearances under his belt, but having featured in the same youth teams as James.
