11.30 - So the big stories. Man United and Bayern Munich will stage a repeat of their 1999 final, while Arsenal and Barcelona will re-visit their 2006 final. If United progress, they'll fancy their chances against one of the French sides in the semis. Arsenal, meanwhile, will have to beat Barca and potentially Inter to make it to the Bernabeu. 11.20 - Next up the semi-final draw: Bayern/Man Utd v Lyon/Bordeaux and Inter Milan/CSKA v Arsenal/Barcelona. And finally, the draw to determine which team wears home colours in the final on 22nd May. Semi-final 1 comes out, so Man United would get to wear red if they get there.

11.10 - Legendary Spanish striker Emilio Butragueno takes to the stage to talk about this year's final venue, the Bernabeu in Madrid. They're really stringing this out now. The technicalities are now being outlined. The balls are in the bowl. They're rather attractive balls, all dressed in Champions League gold stars.
11.05 - Next up, a montage highlighting the magic of the eight teams left in the draw, set to a soundtrack fit to grace a generic action movie from the 1980s. It's cheesy, but at the same time quite enjoyable. Rooney really is quite good isn't he. "What a fantastic game football is," says Gianni afterwards. Sublime.
11.00 - Here we go. The Champions League theme booms out and a bald man makes his way onto the stage. He name is Gianni and he works for UEFA. He offers his congratulations to the eight quarter-finalists and blurts out a stat about their having been 2.9 goals per match in the last 16. He then tells us there was a record-breaking 96% attendance in the round. Alright buddy...get on with it, it's not a Tory party conference.
10.55 - A dream draw for United or Arsenal would arguably involve a quarter-final against CSKA, with their semi-final opponent to come from a tie between the two French sides, Lyon and Bordeaux. I'm no bookie, but the odds for that happening are surely around 10,000,000-1. Well, probably less, but you get my point.
10.50 - Speaking of 1999, Dwight Yorke is making a cameo in the Sky Sports studio to preview the draw. He fancies United to go all the way this year, but then he would say that wouldn't he. Barca are the favourites with the bookies, with United second and Inter third in most markets.
10.40 - Not long now. Let's talk possibilities. The one everybody wants to see is Arsenal v Inter Milan, which would not only be a cracking battle of opposite styles, but a clash between two managers who can't stand each other. Mourinho has attacked Arsene Wenger in the past and would clearly relish the chance to put one over on him on the biggest stage. Barca v Man United would of course be a repeat of last year's final, while United v Bayern Munich would get everybody talking about 1999. Bordeaux v United would see former player Laurent Blanc back at Old Trafford.
10.30 - As we countdown to the business of balls, why not digest The Antagonist's take on Chelsea. We've also got Stevie Scandal's daily gossip column to feed you, along with plenty of Europa League reaction on the Football.co.uk homepage. Fulham and Liverpool both turned it on last night to book their spots in the quarters and that will be drawn after the Champions League.
10.20 - The semi-finals will also be drawn this morning. The only rules are there are no rules. Clubs from the same country can draw each other, so we could get United v Arsenal or Lyon v Bordeaux.
10.10 - Morning all. The suits are gathered in Lyon this morning to decide the fate of the remaining eight clubs in the Champions League. Just to remind you who's in the hat, we've got Arsenal and Man United representing England. The other six teams are the holders Barcelona, Jose's Inter, Bayern Munich, CSKA Moscow, Bordeaux and Lyon - who conquered Real Madrid in the last 16.
