Champions League final ticket for Manchester United v Barcelona on sale for £7,000

UEFA has vowed to crack down on Champions League final ticket touts as prices rose to eye-watering levels after Manchester United set up a Wembley showdown with Barcelona.[LNB] The scramble for seats for the May 28 clash is underway with fears that the average fan will be priced out of the match.[LNB] Race for the action: Wembley will pack in 86.000 for the Champions League final[LNB] Fears that tickets will end up in the wrong hands have heightened after one ticket was posted on globalticketmarket.com for ?6,000 along with a ?1,088 booking fee - despite the ticket having a face value of ?140. [LNB] There are also a number for sale on eBay, including one user asking ?6,600 for two tickets. [LNB] A UEFA spokesman said: 'Selling tickets such as this is illegal and we work with the British government and other authorities to prevent that from happening and are very serious about taking legal action against it.[LNB] Enlarge Whopping: One ticket was selling for over ?7,000 on this ticket website[LNB] 'But it is very difficult to trace. We would advise fans to only buy tickets through official channels. The only tickets that are left are to be sold individually by the clubs.' [LNB]The Ticket Touting Order of 2007 banned selling tickets at an inflated price to every Champions League match in England. [LNB] UEFA have already been criticised for allocating just 25,000 tickets to each side despite the huge 86,000 capacity at Wembley. Another 25,000 will go to the 'European football family', which includes UEFA officials and corporate figures. These are the tickets that are now being touted on the internet. [LNB] Fans are able to apply for tickets from Friday morning, with season-ticket holders top of the priority list. Those wanting to buy tickets have already been warned they must bring a passport to pick up them up from Old Trafford. [LNB] Unstoppable? But if you put those on the black market how much will they cost?
