Michael Carrick has warned Porto that Manchester United are 'even more determined' than last year to be crowned the best team in Europe.[LNB] The UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie between the sides remains delicately poised following a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford last week.[LNB]Porto will be confident of finishing the job after scoring two away goals but Carrick believes United can become the first English team to beat them in Portugal.[LNB]"We're English and European champions and we don't want to let either trophy go - we're probably even more determined than we were last year to stay on top," the midfielder said in The Sun.[LNB]"There's always a real determination for success and thankfully we've had that in recent years. [LNB]"But we want it again. We can beat anyone on our day, so we will go to Portugal with confidence and believing we can win."[LNB]Carrick is anticipating a difficult test but feels United are well equipped to progress in the competition, having overcome all sorts of different challenges in recent years.[LNB]He said: "You don't consciously draw on past experience, it just develops.[LNB]"You know what to expect in certain situations and the things you didn't do so well you try to put right this time round."[LNB]
