Carrick in, Scholes out for Valencia clash
Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick was a surprise inclusion in the Reds squad that flew out to Valencia on Tuesday morning, but Paul Scholes and Gary Neville were missing. Carrick has been out for a month with an Achilles injury but joined his team-mates ahead of the Champions League clash on Wednesday. As yet it is not known why Scholes and Neville were absent.
