Brown: Fergie can do what he wants

Hull manager Phil Brown claims Sir Alex Ferguson has the right to field whatever side he wants this weekend. There has been much speculation over whether Ferguson will name a weakened team for Sunday's final Barclays Premier League encounter at the KC Stadium as he prepares for the Champions League final. With Hull needing to win the game to guarantee their safety, such a move could anger Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Sunderland, all of whom are in a relegation battle with the Tigers. Yet with United, crowned champions last week, renowned for the depth of their squad, Brown says their second-string side would still worry him. Brown said: "Sir Alex has had 22 years at one football club and he has earned the right to do whatever he wants to do on Sunday. "He has got a massive game three days after this game. I would do the same - if I had the option I would play players that won't be playing in the game on Wednesday. "Unless there was some kind of fear of fitness levels or injury concerns, I would pick the team accordingly. But if Newcastle, Middlesbrough and Sunderland have fears about what is coming out of Manchester United's changing room - I have as well."
