Borussia Dortmund trying to sign Manchester United midfielder

Borussia Dortmund have made a transfer offer for Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj.

The offer was reportedly rejected by the Red Devils, as the Premier League side only want to let him leave on loan.

Manchester United still look unlikely to let him leave after he started and scored their only goal in last week's win away to Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has criticised Adnan Januzaj as he thinks that he is not good enough for Manchester United.

In his weekly column for the Daily Mail Keown said:

"Of course it’s still early days for Memphis but Januzaj has had time to make an impact and I feel sometimes he lacks direction and loses his way in a game."

"When he arrived we all thought he was the next Ryan Giggs but I don't think he’s going to be that player. Yes he’s got a lot of talent but I don't know if he'll show consistency in his play week in week out."

"In a way that’s the challenge for both of these young players – to produce that quality over a lengthy period of time."

"But what Memphis has in his favour is that he was bought by this manager and will clearly be favoured. There’s no question that Van Gaal will be firmly in his camp."

The 20-year-old Belgian player has joined the Red Devils in 2013 from the Belgian side Anderlecht, Januzaj represented his country 5 times without scoring.
