Blackburn's Jones Set To Sign For United
Blackburn Rovers defender Phil Jones looks set to make the move to Manchester United after having a medical at the club. 19 year old Jones has been a major player for Rovers who with his help, managed to stave off relegation last term. His position is central defence but has been known to put in shifts at right back and midfield, making him a very useful addition to any squad. The fee is believed to be around the £16 million mark for a player that was not too long ago earmarked to go to Liverpool before United stepped in. Arsenal are another club that have shown interest. United striker Wayne Rooney has twittered about Jones, saying: "Phil jones is a good young English player. 1 of the toughest defenders I played against last season. Can play midfield to."
