Berbatov out for two weeks

Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov is set to be sidelined for a fortnight with an ankle injury.[LNB] The Bulgarian suffered the problem during United's 2-0 defeat at Fulham a fortnight ago.[LNB]He was forced to withdraw from his country's World Cup qualifiers against Republic of Ireland and Cyprus and will remain out of action for some time.[LNB]Berbatov will miss Sunday's crucial match against Aston Villa, when Sir Alex Ferguson will also be without the suspended Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic and Paul Scholes.[LNB]He is also likely to sit out both legs of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Porto, as well as next Saturday's trip to Sunderland.[LNB]"It's probably going to be another two weeks," said Ferguson.[LNB]"Hopefully he will be back training with us at the end of next week and he will be okay after that."[LNB]Ferguson admits he will have no other option but to turn to Carlos Tevez against Villa, even though the Argentine will not return from South America until later on Friday.[LNB]"I think he gets back from Mars about 4pm," joked Ferguson.[LNB]"With Dimitar out and Wayne suspended hopefully Carlos will be okay. That will give us one striker, then we will have to choose another.[LNB]"With the extra day's rest I am relatively confident we can get a fit team out on the pitch."[LNB]Neville boostFerguson does have Gary Neville available again after the veteran defender appeared for the reserves earlier in the week.[LNB]Neville has not started for the Red Devils since January because of a groin injury but Ferguson concedes he is tempted to use him against Villa.[LNB]"Gary played for the reserves on Monday and he did very well. He needed the game and that showed in the second half," Ferguson added.[LNB]"We only planned to use him for an hour and that's what it turned out to be.[LNB]"His training performances have been very good on Wednesday and today so he certainly comes into the picture.[LNB]"If he feels strongly about starting on Sunday I will consider it."[LNB]
