Berbatov not scared of Gunners

Dimitar Berbatov is confident Manchester United can overcome Arsenal in their UEFA Champions League semi-final. The reigning European champions beat Porto 1-0 on Wednesday thanks to a stunning goal from Cristiano Ronaldo, while Arsenal coasted to a 3-0 success against Villarreal. The Gunners have become increasingly difficult to beat as the season has progressed but Berbatov has no doubt that United will book a place in the final. "The Arsenal games are going to be great for everybody to watch and I know it is going to be difficult," said the Bulgarian. "They are a great team. But we are Manchester United, so I think we are going to win. "We are determined to defend this trophy and the fact we now have to face another English team makes it a little bit different. But we should still be confident." Berbatov was impressed by Ronaldo's strike from around 40 yards out against Porto but also reserved praise for the defence. United's back line has been difficult to break down all season and they held firm again in Portugal as Porto barely created a chance of note. "It was a very special goal," said Berbatov. "Cristiano gives everything he can in every game. Sometimes you need a special player to do something out of the ordinary. Cristiano delivered. "Our defence is incredible. They have been tremendous for us all season and deserve so much credit for their performances. "The major reason we are in the position we are at the moment is because of our defenders and I want to thank them."
