Battle Starts To Get van Persie

The scramble for the right to have Robin van Persie playing for their team has begun between United, Man City and Arsenal.

Sir Alex Ferguson has stepped in to try and hijack any possible chance that City have of signing the striker.

City are confident that they can get their man as they look to retain the premier league title.

But Arsenal insist that they will be playing Persie in their attack next term, even though he is looking for a move.

City are said to be ready to pay the player £225,000 per week, something that United are prepared to match according to speculation around the club.
