That looks to be his last action.[LNB]70 Foster almost makes a meal of things as he scrambles back to his line to make a save from Bogdanovic who was teed up by Hume.[LNB]69 Bogdanovic's control lets him down and the ball trickles out of play for a United throw.[LNB]68 Hallfredsson trips Rafael which eases the pressure on United.[LNB]67 Hume tries an instinctive effort as he readjusts his body for a deflected cross but turns the attempt wide.[LNB]66 Ian Hume comes on for Macken for the hosts.[LNB]65 Ritchie De Laet replaces Owen as United look to seal the win.[LNB]65 Bogdanovic collects a loose ball after Fabio makes an error, but he drags his effort wide of the target.[LNB] Neville leaves his studs in high after a challenge on Hammill. It's debateable but there did look to be malicious intent despite winning the ball.[LNB]63 Red Card Gary Neville!![LNB]61 The goal has very much silenced the Oakwell. They were very much in this tie before that goal but they face a huge task to pull this one back now.[LNB] Owen receives a throw-in with his back to goal, turns well and bursts towards goal with a nut-meg before bending a fine effort into the bottom corner to put his side two up.[LNB]59 GOAL OWEN!![LNB]58 Owen's touch lets him down when trying to control a cross at the near post. Goal-kick to Barnsley.[LNB]57 Tosic tries his luck from range after receiving with his back to goal, turning and bending an effort just inches wide of the top corner.[LNB]56 Steele races off his line to beat Owen in a race to collect the loose ball.[LNB]54 De Silva goes close for the home side after being played in by Bogdanovic, but the former drags his effort off target with Foster untroubled.[LNB]53 Tosic comes on for goalscorer Welbeck.[LNB]52 Obertan tries to keep the ball in play but only succeeds in gifting Moore possession.[LNB]51 Macken's cross is a good one but with no one attacking the ball for Barnsley, Obertan easily volleys clear.[LNB]49 Kozluk's cross evades everyone and Foster hesitates to claim at, instead watching it roll out of play at the opposite side of the pitch.[LNB]48 Owen bursts into the box onto Welbeck's through ball but he toe-pokes his effort well wide.[LNB]47 The Oakwell is in full voice as the home side look to pick up where they left off with some pressure on the united goal.[LNB]46 The home side get the ball rolling once more.[LNB] United fan Tony Sayers does not see Barnsley getting back into this now that United lead at the break and can see his side dominating from here on.[LNB] Welbeck has the last touch of the half as the referee blows for half-time. It was Welbeck's touch in the 6th minute which separates the sides as he turned in Anderson's corner with a free header. Barnsley have made a decent account of themselves though, looking particularly dangerous from corners.[LNB]45+3 Half-time at Oakwell.[LNB]45+1 Steele is there again to sweep up the danger after another poor long ball from United.[LNB]45 Anderson over-hits his long-ball towards Owen and Steele is sharp off his line to claim it.[LNB]44 Nice link up play between Macheda and Welbeck but Hallfredsson halts the charge.[LNB]43 Bogdanovic plays in a delightful ball across the face of goal but no striker had gambled and Neville turns the ball out of play at the far post.[LNB]42 Hammill over-hits his corner his time and it evades everyone for a goal-kick to United.[LNB]41 Foster clears the danger for Barnsley and Fabio volleys the ball out of play at the opposite end, drawing cheers from the home crowd.[LNB]40 Neville wins a throw-in deep in his own half and slows the play down under pressure.[LNB]40 Colace goes into the book now for hacking down Obertan.[LNB]38 De Silva goes into the book for unsporting behaviour.[LNB]38 Foster claims a cross from Hammill and is caught by Anderson de Silva, who gets a talking to from the referee.[LNB]37 Welbeck heads well over from a Obertan cross with Owen better placed behind him.[LNB]36 Steele is sharp off his line to clear a short backpass from Moore with Owen closing in.[LNB]36 They play it short and ultimately waste the chance to exploit a weakness of United.[LNB]35 Bogdanovic wins a corner off Brown and this is where the Tykes look most dangerous.[LNB]33 The corner comes to little and as Barnsley break, Hammill loses possession and appeals for a foul with nothing given.[LNB]32 Welbeck wins a corner from the same side he garbbed the opener.[LNB]31 Owen fails to control the long ball and Foster clears up the danger at the back.[LNB]30 As we reach the half-hour mark United lead 1-0 courtesy of Welbeck's header. But the home side have shown some spirit and look dangerous from set-plays.[LNB]28 Slight hesitation between Brown and Foster at the back for United but no Barnsley striker gambled and the pair get away with the mix up.[LNB]27 Foster again finds the space for a header but again headers high and over. Promising for Barnsley though, they're making a game of it.[LNB]26 The home side have another corner as Hammill prepares to take.[LNB]25 Barnsley's Foster has a free header from the corner but he wastes the chance as he times his jump all wrong.[LNB]24 It's another corner for the Tykes as Fabio puts the ball out of play.[LNB]23 Hammill whips in a fine corner and Bogdanovic sees his header crash off the corner of the upright, so close to an equaliser for Barnsley.[LNB]22 Brown shows his experience by dispossessing Macken and setting up a United counter which breaks down with Welbeck.[LNB]21 De Silva tried his luck from range this time but fails to trouble Foster with a wayward effort.[LNB]20 Macheda is penalised for a push on Moore.[LNB]19 Great passage of play from United with Owen in the thick of it. He plays a fine weighted pass into the path of Obertan who see's his effort blocked by Steele but Owen can't get a shot away from the rebound.[LNB]18 Foster slips when clearing a passback but he gets away with the sliced kick.[LNB]17 Evans is fouled by Macken after the striker tried desperately to win the ball back.[LNB]16 Welbeck brings down Kozluk in a text-book striker's challenge. Freekick to Barnsley.[LNB]15 Hammill tries his luck from range after cutting inside. It's well wide but positive from the home side.[LNB]14 Bogdanovic looks for an opening with the through ball but it trickles through to Foster.[LNB]13 Foster punts the ball up field for United.[LNB]12 Hallfredsson holds the ball up in the centre searching for an opening, but United force him back well and the ball is back with Steele in the home goal.[LNB]10 Welbeck finds space for another effort on goal but the goalkeeper parries and Macheda can't control the rebound.[LNB]9 Obertan closes down Kozluk quickly and almost sneaks in on goal.[LNB]8 The goal hasn't stopped the home fans from singing in full voice, but it's all United in these early stages.[LNB] Simple goal for United. Anderson bends in a fine corner and Welbeck nods in at the near post practically unmarked. Awful marking from the home side.[LNB]6 GOAL WELBECK!![LNB]5 Owen latches onto a nearpost cross from Brown and wins a corner with a deflected header.[LNB]4 Macheda's control lets him down and Steele gratefully collects the loose ball.[LNB]3 Neville's long throw whistles out of play by Steele's goal with a target nowhere in sight.[LNB]2 Hallfredsson wins a freekick for his side in the centre of the pitch but Foster claims the floated ball well.[LNB]1 The away side get the ball rolling at Oakwell.[LNB]Barry Lee, a United fan in South Carolina, jokes his side could have won on Sunday had Ferguson fielded this team. Not sure everyone will agree but the sides are out on the field as kick-off approaches.[LNB] After knocking out Burnley last month, can Barnsley recapture the sort of cup form they did two season ago or will United prove too strong for them at Oakwell tonight?
