Ba Pleased After Magpies Win

Demba Ba was buzzing after he took part in the Magpies win over Manchester United last night, but he still sang the praises of his team mates.

Ba was man of the match for the home side after scoring the opening goal which put Newcastle on their way to a 3-0 victory.

And there can be no argument that Ba’s goal was a good one, brilliantly latching onto a Shola Ameobi knockdown to volley past Andres Lindegaard.

"Our performance last week against Liverpool was not good so we had to get the three points today," Ba told Sky Sports.

"We had to fight like it was our last game."

"I don't really look at the opponents when I am playing. I just say to myself that I am going to be good today and give 100 per cent. I am only concerned about myself."
