Ashley Young Move Confirmed
Manchester United have completed the signing of the Aston Villa winger Ashley Young on a five-year deal. Young, who passed a medical on Wednesday having already agreed personal terms, is moving to Old Trafford for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £15m. Young's arrival will give Sir Alex Ferguson more variety in attack, with the 25-year-old capable of playing as a two-footed left-winger or operating as a centre-forward. He becomes United's second summer signing following the arrival of Phil Jones earlier this month from Blackburn Rovers in a £16.5m move. The Spain Under-21 goalkeeper David de Gea is also expected to join, taking United's spending to around £50m.
