Manchester United are considering a £30m bid for Karim Benzema as a replacement for Wayne Rooney.

United will listen to offers up to £25m for Rooney and could use the cash towards a bid for Karim Benzema.

Wayne Rooney, 27, said that a move will be a possibility, however, he could be persuaded to stay at Old Trafford.

Rooney, who said he would be happy to work for new boss David Moyes, who gave the striker his first-team chance as a 16-year-old at Everton. Karim Benzema, 25, has had a successful career scoring 54 goals for Madrid in 122 games and is a regular for his country winning 57 capps for France and 15 scoring goals.
