The 22 year old went to Hull at the start of the season on what was then a season long deal.
But after making 19 appearances for the Tigers, United now want the keeper back at Old Trafford.
Hull City said via Twitter: "On-loan GK Ben Amos has been recalled by Man Utd. We'd like to thank him for his efforts, and we wish him all the best for the future."
