All not aboard: Manchester United players forced to wait on the roadside for team bus
It's not your typical town centre bus stop queue. There are no plastic shopping bags, no smoking teenagers and no warring chavy couples.[LNB]Instead this scene contains designer label suitcases and wash bags, smart tracksuit-dressed athletes and the odd silly hat... but the faces are just as angry![LNB]The comedy collection of snaps was taken this morning and show the Manchester United team and staff looking less than pleased with being made to wait on the freezing cold Cheshire countryside for their team bus ahead of the evening game at Birmingham. Manchester United players wait patiently for the team bus this morning ahead of tonight's match with Birmingham[LNB]First team stars including Patrice Evra, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Edwin van der Sar and Wayne Rooney were all pictured clutching their belongings as they stood on a grass verge near their overnight accommodation between Wilmslow and Hale.[LNB]All the players were dressed in team tracksuits but carried with them their specialist matchday suits.[LNB] Distraction: Armed with their suits, suitcases and kit, the players find ways to amuse themselves[LNB]Some obviously foresaw the nightmare and chose to wrap up warm. Veteran defender Gary Neville, for example, was snug in his large black jacket, and so too was Ryan Giggs. [LNB]Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, sported a Ushanka - Russian fur cap with ear flaps - much to the envy of the rest of his team. [LNB]After more than 20 minutes the coachfinally arrived sparking a dash for the warmth of the luxury liner,although some of the players hung about to help load their belongingson board.
