Ajax footballer drops trophy from bus: Maarten Stekelenburg does a Sergio Ramos

[LNB]The Ajax stopper proved himself a little careless when he inexcusably dropped the Eredivisie trophy from the back of the party bus that was heading through Amsterdam this weekend. The win was enough for Frank de Boer's side to leapfrog Twente on the final day. [LNB]Ajax, who were a point behind 2010 champions Twente going into the match, secured victory thanks to two goals from Siem de Jong to capture the Dutch title for the 30th time.[LNB] Party time: Fans packed the street of Amsterdam to celebrate the club's 30th title triumph[LNB] But as the players celebrated on board on the team coach, Stekelenburg lost grip on the dish-like trophy, sending it clattering on to the road and under the wheels of another coach which was travelling behind the rest of the team. [LNB]The incident mirrored that of Sergio Ramos from late last month when the Real Madrid man dropped the Copa del Rey trophy from the top of an open top bus that was being used to carry the victorious team through Spain's capital. The result of that drop, though, seems considerably worse as the club had to replace the original model which had smashed into several pieces.[LNB] Oops: A fan quickly pounced on the trophy after Stekelenburg had dropped it from the top of the coach[LNB][LNB] Clock's ticking!
