The Bulgarian has admitted he is unlikely to figure much in Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans next season.
There is a reported fee of £5m for 31-year-old, and his representative Emil Dantchev believes the forward is heading for Serie A – with the San Siro his preferred destination.
“He may leave Manchester United at any time,” he said. “His most likely destination is Italy, he’s always loved Italian football.
“I know that Milan and Juventus are looking for a striker. I can say that they are two big clubs.
“I cannot say much but I do say that Berbatov likes Milan and looks good in red and black.”
