World Cup 2010: England's Fabio Capello to give Adam Johnson opportunity to impress

The 22 year-old winger has been hugely impressive since joining City from Middlesbrough at the end of the January transfer window, starring in their recent victories over Burnley and Birmingham. [LNB]Capello will be without David Beckham at the World Cup in South Africa, while Aaron Lennon is battling to overcome a groin problem, and the Italian looks set to hand Johnson his first cap in England's friendly against Mexico next month. [LNB]Capello said: "Adam Johnson (has caught my eye this season). He's come up from the Championship at Middlesbrough, where he played in a different position, and he's done well with Manchester City. [LNB]"Now it's important he gets some international experience."
