Whites agree fee for City's Clayton

eeds are believed to have agreed a fee with Manchester City to sign midfielder Adam Clayton on a permanent deal.[LNB] The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Elland Road from the Premier League big-spenders, having switched for one month in early August.[LNB]He has made two brief substitute appearances during his time with the Championship club so far, coming on against Derby County on the opening day of the campaign and then at Nottingham Forest.[LNB]Clayton, a former England Under-20 international, impressed during a spell on loan at Carlisle in League One last season and Whites boss Simon Grayson has seen enough potential to attempt to sign him permanently.[LNB]Leeds have made a solid start to the season on their return to the Championship, as they look to build on their promotion from League One last term.
