Versatile: Catania star Martinez[LNB]Catania striker Jorge Martinez is in talks with Manchester City over a summer move to Eastlands.[LNB]City boss Roberto Mancini is aware of the Uruguay international from his time in Italy and has been impressed with his nine goals in 18 appearances this season.[LNB]Martinez's agent Daniel Delgado said: 'At the moment we are in negotiations with Manchester City and there is another English side that would like to begin talks for Jorge.[LNB]'We are talking to the player, who knows how to play in four or five different positions, and frankly I don't understand why nobody in Italy has noticed him.'[LNB]The 26 year-old, who can play in any position across the front and can operate as a lone striker, scored in a win over Mancini's former club Inter Milan last week and Delgado has claimed that unless a big Italian club shows an interest, City are in pole position.[LNB]  He added, 'Everyone saw what he did against Inter, but I fear again Italian football will let a great talent escape.[LNB]'He would love to stay in Italy with a big club, but at the moment that doesn't seem likely. England is in pole position.'The player could see his value rise if he has a successful World Cup while a work permit should not be a problem for City as Martinez has a Spanish passport.[LNB] Could Manchester City be lured by Jose Mourinho's seduction line?Man City manager Mancini set to commit future at Eastlands EXCLUSIVE: Man City defender Bridge faces month out after hernia operationManchester City defender Lescott targets top four and World Cup place Johnson: I'm delighted to break duck but wish it wasn't against Sunderland!MANCHESTER CITY FC
