Leeds must wait until at least next month before learning the level of compensation they will receive from Manchester City for two former academy youngsters. George Swan and Louis Hutton opted to sign for City during the summer, but Leeds turned down their offer of £70,000 for the two 14-year-olds. Leeds accept City have not broken any rules, but referred the case to the Professional Football Compensation Committee and were expecting to learn how much they would be awarded before the hearing was postponed at the request of the Premier League club after a member of their staff fell ill. Leeds were last week awarded up to £1.5million in compensation for England youth international Luke Garbutt, who chose to sign for Everton in the summer after spending eight years at the Leeds academy.
