Unexpected twist in Tevez saga as Corinthians seek loan deal for United star
Corinthians hope to stun world football by signing Carlos Tevez to line up alongside Brazil striker Ronaldo.

Tevez played for the Sao Paulo-based club for a year and a half beforejoining West Ham in August 2006 and has spoken warmly about returning.
With the 25-year-old's time at Old Trafford coming to a close, Corinthians are looking at ways to put together an attractive one-year loan for the Argentina striker that would be a major coup for their centenary celebrations in 2010.
They are already buoyed by signing three-time world player of the year Ronaldo and will seek use the same business model of finding sponsors to bankroll a deal for Tevez.
The idea excites Ronaldo, who said: 'Tevez is a great player who fits with the style of Corinthians. The time that he spent here was undoubtedly great.' Tevez is a huge admirer of Ronaldo and once used to have a poster of the former Real Madrid and Barcelona player on his wall.
Ronaldo said: 'We have met a few times, and he declared (admiration) for me. It makes me even happier because he is Argentine and it would be normal for Maradona to be his idol.
It would be great if he returned.'

Corinthians are looking to sign a number of big-name players for their centenary, including Brazil midfielder Ze Roberto from Bayern Munich. They are also monitoring the avaliability of unhappy AC Milan forward Ronaldinho.
Pulling off a deal for Tevez would seem an uphill struggle, given the competition particularly from Liverpool and Manchester City, but a loan deal would mean Kia Joorabchian retaining ownership of his most-prized asset in a time when the transfer market is perhaps not at its strongest.
