Manchester City have sent teenage striker Enes Unal out on loan to Belgian side Genk just weeks after signing the Turkey international from Bursaspor.

Unal, 18, made three appearances during City's pre-season tour of Australia but will head to Belgium in the hope of playing regular football this season.

City announced the news via their website on Friday morning.

Unal, who has one senior international cap, built a strong reputation in youth football. He scored 24 goals in 25 games for Turkey's under-16 side and in 2013, at the age of 16, became the youngest goalscorer in the Turkish top flight when he struck against Galatasaray.
