Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng will have to wait for his Premier League debut after suffering a recurrence of a knee injury.[LNB] City's summer signing from Hamburg is yet to make his City debut after damaging his knee while on international duty in Germany's 2-2 draw with Denmark earlier this month.[LNB]Boateng travelled to Romania with City's squad for last Thursday's 1-0 win over Timisoara and on the way back he was caught by the drinks trolley on the flight home, aggravating the knock.[LNB]The 21-year-old is now set for an additional month on the sidelines, meaning he is likely to miss the club's upcoming Premier League game with Liverpool, Sunderland and Wigan.[LNB]Boateng has vented his frustration at spending his early days at Eastlands on the treatment table, stating he imaging early life with his new club to be in stark contrast.[LNB]"It's annoying. I imagined my start at Manchester City to be quite different, of course," said the 22-year-old on the website Sport1.[LNB]"Next Wednesday, I'm up travelling to see (the German team's doctor) Dr Muller-Wohlfahrt in Munich for treatment.[LNB]"Even in my first game with Manchester against Valencia (in a friendly), I had problems with the knee from the match in Copenhagen."
