Yaya Toure insists that Manchester City's main focus in Europe is to get through the group stages of the Champions League.[LNB] The Ivorian midfield ace knows what it takes to succeed in the Champions League having won the competition with Barcelona in 2009.[LNB]And, whilst he insists City have nothing to fear in Europe, Toure says they are purely looking at negotiating a tough looking Group A having drawn with Napoli in their opening game.[LNB]Speaking ahead of their first-ever Champions League away trip at Bayern Munich - which you can see live on Sky Sports - Toure said: "It's very hard work to win this competition.[LNB]"It's one of the best competitions in the world and it's only the top teams that you play.[LNB]"I don't think we should say we can win it with teams like Barcelona around.[LNB]"The most important thing is to get to the second stage and then see.[LNB]"But you need players with the Champions League experience. We have more quality now with the likes of Samir Nasri and Sergio Aguero.[LNB]"I don't think there is a big space between us and the top teams in this competition."[LNB]Toure says their thrashing of Tottenham in the Premier League earlier this season signalled how far they have come.[LNB]"You look at the game at Tottenham, we played fantastically," he said.[LNB]"They're a big team and did well in the Champions League last year, they got to the quarter-finals. So that shows we have a fantastic squad and, for me, this year we can do well.[LNB]"I'm just pleased we are in it. We can do fantastically well this year.[LNB]"On the training ground you see how hard we work.[LNB]"It's fantastic for the club to be in it. It's very important for us and we need to improve.[LNB]"All the top players want to be part of this - it's an amazing competition."
