Toure suffered a heel injury in the closing stages of Monday's 1-1 draw with Aston Villa with City boss Mark Hughes fearing the defender could face a spell on the sidelines.
The injury has ruled Toure out of Ivory Coast's World Cup qualifier with Malawi this weekend, but the former Arsenal man is confident of being fit to return to action for City after the international break.
"I am having some pains but it will be fine for me after the international break," Toure told skysports.com.
"I was desperate to play for my country against Malawi because we can qualify that day there, but I could not do it.
"I would like to let City fans know we are together and I should be fine.
"It was a very hard kick on my Achilles, but nothing is broken there."
Toure believes their performance against Villa shows City are ready to fight for a place in the top four this season.
"We had a difficult game at Villa, but we managed to earn a point and that shows we are serious to be competing for top spots this season," added Toure.
