Tottenham linked with Manchester City's Craig Bellamy

With Roque Santa Cruz arriving at the City of Manchester Stadium and Carlos Tevez expected to complete his move from Manchester United this week, Spurs believe Bellamy could be surplus to requirements. Harry Redknapp, the Tottenham manager, is an admirer of the former West Ham striker and tried to sign him in January from Upton Park before Manchester City stepped. Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko can both leave White Hart Lane for the right price and so two replacements will be required. But Spurs would not be alone in considering a move for Bellamy, who missed the end of last season with injury. Meanwhile, the departure of Didier Zokora, to Sevilla, is getting closer and the Spanish club's president suggested that the two parties are expected to come to an agreement for the midfielder. Jose Maria Del Nido said: "I have confidence in finding a solution to this subject in a few days because the situation has changed after the first meeting." And another player who wants to leave is Adel Taarabt, their 20-year-old midfielder who spent time on loan at Queens Park Rangers last season. Taarabt is wanted by Malaga and he said: "There are clubs that want me who are ready to give me a chance. I want to improve and prove my talent. If I stay at Tottenham I wouldn't be able to do that. I want to leave."
