It was therefore quite a surprise to see Tevez still at City when the transfer window closed at the end of August.
After being named on the subs bench away at Bayern Munich in the Champions League, Tevez refused to warm up after being ordered to by manager Roberto Mancini.
His career at City has since been declared as 'over' by his boss and he was made to train with the youth team.
He then refused to turn up to training and is currently back in Argentina before completing an inevitable move in January, most probably to AC Milan.
