Tevez named man of the moment

CARLOS Tevez has been voted as the best player in the country during the month of March. And that award, through a fan vote organised by the Professional Footballers Association, came as teammate Nedum Onuoha said that he is glad to have the Argentine on the same side. Tevez scored four goals in four games during the month, capped by his fabulous hat-trick against Wigan and keeping up a remarkable run of scoring form which has brought him 22 goals in his last 20 games. Tevez has twice won City?s own player of the month competition and is odds-on to lift the Player of the Season award. Onuoha got a close look at the striker in action as he masterminded the 6-1 demolition of Burnley at the weekend, and then classed his teammate as one of the world?s best strikers. ?You have to look at him in terms of the other strikers in the Premier League, like Didier Drogba,? said the England under-21 defender. ?He has scored 20 in the league, and he should get some kind of trophy for that alone ? when was the last time we had anyone score 20 in the league? ?It?s outstanding and you can?t deny it makes him one of the top strikers in the world.? But the ambitious Onuoha says he would fancy trying to keep tabs on Tevez.  ?It would be a hell of a challenge to try to mark Carlos at the moment because he is on fire, and the team is playing to his strengths," he said. ?He is really good at finding pockets of space, and the team is getting really good at finding him in those areas. And the runs you see around him make such a big difference to the team.?
