Amongst the fixtures this weekend Arsenal were away at Manchester City, QPR faced Manchester United and Tottenham were at home to Sunderland.

Joe Hart (Man City)
Once again Joe Hart was on hand to pull off some brilliant saves during the home win against Arsenal. Those saves were the difference between a draw and taking all three points on Sunday and thanks to Hart they secured a vital win and returned to the top of the table.

Vincent Kompany (Man City)
The dominant centre half was taking no prisoners against Arsenal and was perhaps just as important in keeping a clean sheet for his side as Joe Hart was. City captain Kompany is a fair selection for Player of the Year if he continues to play this way.

Ashley Williams (Swansea)
Swansea have had more clean sheets than any other Premier League side so far this season. Despite most of the credit going to keeper Michel Vorm, centre back pairing Ashley Williams and Steven Caulker have been in superb form. Williams was yet again dominant in the 0-0 draw with Newcastle.

Ledley King (Tottenham)
With King unable to play week-in-week-out any more, Tottenham have to pick and chose when to risk their star defender. He returned to the side against Sunderland, with Spurs needing to win following the defeat at Stoke the previous weekend. His solid and reliable display was key to their success.

James Morrison (West Brom)
His well struck volley gave his side a well-deserved lead against Blackburn. An industrious performance for the Scottish midfielder nearly resulted in a second goal but it was instead Peter Odemwingie who grabbed the second goal for the Baggies late on to secure the 3 points.

Cheick Tiote (Newcastle)
Ivorian midfielder Tiote has recently been linked with a move away from Newcastle, with no shortage of admirers. His return from injury was a major boost to his team and it was no surprise they managed a clean sheet against Swansea. With a dip in form at Newcastle and an ever growing list of injury concerns, his return could be crucial.

Leon Britton (Swansea)
Another player who has performed well this season for Swansea has been Leon Britton. He was again at the heart of everything for the Swans against Newcastle as he continues to impress in his first Premier League campaign.

Leon Osman (Everton)
Never afraid to get involved and will always give 100%. The hard-working midfielder was key to everything Everton did against Norwich. His performance was capped off when he scored an 81st minute equaliser for his team.

Craig Bellamy (Liverpool)
His hard work earned himself a goal and he was back again to create a goal for Skrtel. A solid display from Liverpool and a good 3 points, epitomised by the persistence of the 32-year-old Craig Bellamy.

Wayne Rooney (Man United)
Another goal for Wayne Rooney and another 3 points for the reigning Premier League Champions. His goal in the very first minute was the 3rd quickest of the season and it set United on their way to a good win away at Queens Park Rangers.

Peter Crouch (Stoke City)
Crouch's 70th minute goal completed a fine comeback for Stoke City away at Wolves. He was in the right place at the right time to beat Wayne Hennessey to Matthew Etherington's cross and head home the winner.
