Taylor keeps focus on fitness fight
Transfer-listed Newcastle defender Steven Taylor insists he is only concentrating on getting back to fitness - and is ignoring speculation.[LNB] The 24-year-old central defender is out of contract at the end of the season, and at the moment he would be free to open talks with any potential new employers in January.[LNB]Newcastle are keen not to lose him for nothing, and although talks are set to continue, they decided to list him.[LNB]Now Manchester City are being strongly linked with a move for Taylor, who is sidelined with a shoulder injury he picked up in pre-season.[LNB]But despite the speculation about his future, Taylor insists he only wants to regain his fitness and play again.[LNB]"All I am doing is concentrating on getting myself fit and making myself available for selection," Taylor told The People.[LNB]Taylor has been included in Newcastle's Premier League squad, after some reports claimed he may be left out.
