Stuttgart general manager Horst Heldt believes summer bids will come in for hot-shot striker Mario Gomez.

The coveted Germany international striker has been in fine form this term, scoring 13 goals in 20 Bundesliga matches, as well as six times in the Uefa Cup.

The 23-year-old former German Footballer of the Year had been chased by various clubs in recent years, most notably by Juventus in 2007 and Bayern Munich in 2008.

Gomez turned down those offers and has also been linked with Manchester City, although the Bundesliga side said no bids had been made in January.

New offersHeldt told Süddeutsche Zeitung: "There will be new offers coming in for Mario in the summer, I am sure. You cannot believe this will not happen when he does well so on the pitch."

The striker has scored 52 goals in his 109 Bundesliga games in his career so far and has been on target in all five league and Uefa Cup matches for Stuttgart since the winter break.
