Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has echoed Manchester City counterpart Mark Hughes' staunch defence over Emmanuel Adebayor's controversial celebration and called for The FA to drop their improper conduct charge against the striker.
Redknapp believes The FA were wrong to charge the City ace in the first place, claiming his over-zealous celebration was hardly 'criminal' given the torrent level of abuse he suffered from the away supporters.
He said: 'What did he do wrong? He [Adebayor] never racially abused anyone, he never made rude gestures which lots of fans do.
