Sociedad's Jo interest 'complicated'

Real Sociedad directors admit they are no closer to agreeing a deal for Manchester City striker Jo and are starting to lose patience.[LNB] Discussions between the Spanish outfit and City have been ongoing for some time, but an agreement is yet to be reached.[LNB]Jo is currently surplus to requirements at Eastlands, with the Blues' squad laden with attacking talent.[LNB]They are, therefore, keen to move the Brazilian on, but will not be parting with the 23-year-old on the cheap.[LNB]City are believed to have paid out some £18million to lure Jo away from CSKA Moscow in 2008 and will be looking to make some return on that investment.[LNB]Sociedad have a tight budget to work with, though, and are in no position to table a big-money bid.[LNB]With that in mind, they are ready to drop their interest and turn their attention elsewhere.[LNB]"The subject of Jo has not been discarded but has become more complicated," said a club director.[LNB]The arrival of experienced frontman Raul Tamudo at Socieded has also made a deal for Jo less of a priority, but coach Martin Lasarte is still short on options and further firepower needs to be found if the club are to avoid a relegation battle in their first season back in the Primera Liga.
