Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder's demands halted Manchester City's bid to sign him in a swap deal involving Carlos Tevez. It is being claimed that Etihad Stadium officials recently held a meeting with representatives of all parties to see if a deal could be thrashed out which would have seen 27-year-old Dutch playmaker, Sneijder, join City during this transfer window. It would also have allowed wantaway Argentinian star, Tevez, to secure a move to the San Siro and then enable him to be reunited with his two daughters as his family would be willing to live in Italy. But the Daily Star Sunday claims a swap was scuppered when Sneijder's representatives refused to lower his £250,000-a-week wage demands which ended Manchester United's interest in signing him this summer.Inter are still thought to be interested in signing Tevez but need City to drop their £50million asking price to between £40million and £45million.
