Flying Bluebird: Craig Bellamy claims Manchester United wanted him before his moved to Cardiff [LNB]Craig Bellamy has hinted that Manchester United wanted to sign him when he left neighbours City for Cardiff in August, but claimed he was not allowed to move to another big club.[LNB]Wales captain Bellamy is currently on loan from City at his hometown club Cardiff in the Championship after the breakdown of his relationship with coach Roberto Mancini left him with no choice but to leave Eastlands.[LNB]But now Bellamy has suggested that United were keen to take him to Old Trafford and that he wasn't allowed to join Tottenham because of a 'personal' issue between the clubs at boardroom level. [LNB]Speaking exclusively to BBC Radio 5 Live, Bellamy said: 'I believethe Tottenham thing came from higher up. I think there was a personalmatter concerning the owner which meant that one wasn't going to getdone.[LNB]'But someone else came in which would have caused a few stirs. If Ihad said I wanted to go there my life in Manchester would have beenreally tough. I ain't gonna say anything but it would have been tough. It would have been a miracle had it come off.[LNB]'Because of the other club being interested, City panicked and pushed the Cardiff thing through as quickly as possible.' [LNB] On Tuesday night, sources at both Manchester clubs denied any interest from United. City also stressed that Tottenham were not considered purely because they are rivals for a Champions League place this season.[LNB] Bust-up: Bellamy fell out spectacularly with City boss Roberto Mancini[LNB]What is increasingly clear from Tuesday's interview is that Bellamy's relationship with City boss Mancini was dreadful. The Welsh winger claimed the Italian went back on promises made about training sessions. [LNB]'We all have different training methods,' said Bellamy. 'I would sometimes struggle to do the double sessions. I can do them. No problem. But you won't see me on Saturday. You won't see me all season.[LNB]'The first thing I was assured after the change of manager was that they wouldn't alter my routine or my programme. Then the manager tried to change it.'[LNB]Bellamy was training with the youth team players at City by the time his move to Cardiff went through and it is clear he remains bitter about his treatment.[LNB]'There is no loyalty in football,' he added. 'How can I go from having a really good year one year and the next be told to train with the kids? Between players and clubs there is no loyalty.' [LNB] Manchester City are wrecking the Championship!
