Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz believes David Silva will prove to be a great signing for the club.[LNB] The striker, who is currently on World Cup duty with Paraguay, was rumoured to be a makeweight in the deal for the Valencia winger.[LNB]But the Blues have now reached an agreement to bring the Spanish winger to Eastlands on a four-year deal without Santa Cruz having to move the other way.[LNB]The Paraguayan striker insists he was not contacted personally about any possible switch and he now wants to focus on his country's historic World Cup quarter-final clash with Spain.[LNB]He told Sky Sports News: "Of course I heard the rumours (about the Silva deal) but personally I didn't hear anything.[LNB]"I'm very happy at City and I wouldn't like to move there (Valencia) and I will do of course my best to help the team to improve and that's of course after the World Cup and the holidays.[LNB]"But for now it's focusing on the national team."[LNB]Santa Cruz is relishing the possibility of lining up against Silva when Paraguay take on Spain in his country's first ever World Cup quarter-final and he hailed the prospect of the winger coming to City.[LNB]"He is a great player so he is of course a great strength to the team and to the squad so I think everybody's going to be very pleased to have him.[LNB]"Everybody knows he's a great player so he's a great signing for the team."[LNB]Yaya Toure has also been linked with City and Santa Cruz would be equally delighted to have the Barcelona star on board.[LNB]"I think he has also shown what he is worth, he played great in the World Cup also (with Ivory Coast) and everybody knows his qualities as a player so it's going to be also a fantastic signing (if it comes off)."
