Samuel Eto'o has told Barcelona:'Give me a £13 million signing-on fee and I'll stay.' Manchester City have offered Barca £25 million for the Cameroon international and £180,000-a-week net after tax for each of the five years of his contract. It would make Eto'o, who has one year of his current deal remaining, the highest paid player in the world. But ideally Eto'o would rather stay at the Nou Camp and hopes whatBarcelona president Joan Laporta called 'a stratospheric offer fromCity' can be made up with a £13 million signing bonus for a newcontract with the European Champions. Barca are reluctant to give Eto'o salary parity with Catalan icons Xavi, Carles Puyol and Andres Iniesta. The high signing-on fee would compensate Eto'o and talks between all parties are expected to continue this week.
