Santa Cruz drops down the Hughes queue at Manchester City

Mark Hughes has warned Roque Santa Cruz he may have missed his chance of abig-money move to Manchester City.

Hughes repeatedly tried to sign the unsettled Paraguay striker from Blackburn in theJanuary transfer window and said at the time there was no guarantee he would try again after a final £18.5million bid was rejected.

Santa Cruz looks certain to leave Ewood Park this summer afterreiterating his desire to join a bigger club but Hughes will not berushed in his search for a striker to meet his requirements.
