Samir Nasri suffers knee injury

Manchester City winger Samir Nasri has withdrawn from the France squad for two internationals after being diagnosed with tendonitis in his knee. [LNB]The former Arsenal midfielder is expected to return to England for treatment but what will worry City fans is the revelation that it is a long-term problem. [LNB]Nasri told French television: 'I have a problem in my knee since the Villarreal match. It's an old issue which is resurfacing.'[LNB] Knee-sy does it: Nasri will return to England to receive treatment[LNB]A spokesperson for the French FA revealed: 'The hospital examination as well as complementary examinations confirmed the inflammation and as a result itwas plainly clear the player would not be fit to play.'[LNB]Nasri played in Man City's 2-1 win over Villarreal in the Champions League last week but manager Roberto Mancini left him on the bench for the 3-2 win against Queens Park Rangers last weekend in the Premier League.[LNB]Franch coach Laurent Blanc said: 'It is a tricky one that he picked up while playing for Arsenal.'
