Rovers boss signs City stopper

Tranmere Rovers manager Les Parry has signed Manchester City goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen on an initial six-month loan deal.[LNB] Nielsen, 24, has signed a one-year contract extension to his current deal at City but will now head to Prenton Park in search of regular first-team football.[LNB]Nielsen made a dramatic debut for City away to Arsenal last April, stepping off the bench when Shay Given injured his shoulder to keep a clean sheet.[LNB]He is set to step straight into action in Tranmere's friendly against Nottingham Forest at Prenton Park on Wednesday night.
