Mark Hughes wants Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz to spearhead his Fulham attack.[LNB]The 28-year-old fears he could miss out on Roberto Mancini's 25-man squad and would be keen to link up with Hughes who knows Santa Cruz well having originally brought him to England from Bayern Munich three years ago. [LNB]Hughes also paid £17.5m to take Santa Cruz to City but injuries initially restricted his opportunities. [LNB] Wanted: Santa Cruz[LNB]Although Fulham do not have the budget to buy right now, Hughes hopes a loan deal can be sorted out.[LNB]Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is also interested but Hughes holds the edge having worked with the player before and being London-based. [LNB]Bruce agreed loan deals for City's Nedum Onuoha and Lyon's John Mensah yesterday and still hopes to sign long-term target Danny Welbeck on loan from Manchester United - but that would bring his loan deals up to the Premier League quota and force him to bid cash for Santa Cruz.[LNB]Bruce has money after selling Kenwyne Jones for £8m to Stoke - a deal Bruce seemed relieved to make. [LNB]He said: 'There has always been a frustration with me and I think with supporters who have watched Kenwyne that you see an abundance of talent but it has not come outoften enough for us for whatever reason. Stoke have been badgering me for a year. Towards the end with Kenwyne, things were not working out so I have accepted Stoke's offer.'[LNB] You're going nowhere!
