Home comforts: Robinho turned his back on City[LNB]Manchester City exile Robinho has defended his return to Brazil by insisting the current Santos crop are the best team he has ever played for. [LNB]The 26-year-old claimed the Brazilian side were not only stronger City, but  also superior to the Real Madrid side of David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane and Raul that Robinho twice won La Liga with in 2007 and 2008.[LNB]'I played on some great teams,' said the forward. 'But Santos are the best - more than Real Madrid with Zidane and the rest.' [LNB]Robinho played a peripheral role as his side beat Sao Paulo 3-2 on Sunday in the first leg of the Paulista state championship semi-finals. [LNB]With the second leg next week, Santos can draw on aggregate to progress to the final because they topped the league stage by 10 points with one of the most exciting teams for generations. [LNB]Neymar (18), Andre (19) and Paulo Henrique Ganso (20) have established themselves among the hottest properties in Brazil in this year. [LNB]'All these players have the talent to make history, they have the talent to win the title,' said Robinho. [LNB]City's British-record £32.5million signing from Madrid is due to return from his loan spell in August, but Santos and Robinho are keen to extend the deal to at least the end of the year if a way to finance the deal can be found. [LNB]City have first-refusals on Neymar and Ganso for the duration of the loan. [LNB] Manchester City must hold their nerve to finish in top four, says skipper Kolo Toure Man City 5 Birmingham 1: City close in on fourth place with thumping winBellamy blasts his fellow players: They make me ashamed to be a footballerManchester City plan a huge £50m bid for Arsenal star Cesc FabregasMANCHESTER CITY FC
