Robinho just wasn't up for the Premier League, blasts axed Man City coach

Familiar face: Robinho was frustrated at City[LNB]Former Manchester City assistant Mark Bowen has hit back at Robinho after the Brazilian lifted the lid on his misery at Eastlands.[LNB]The 26-year-old forward quit the Premier League for a loan move back to his homeland with Santos - after failing to live up to his £34million price tag.[LNB]Robinho got off to a flyer with the winner against Sao Paulo on Sunday and then insisted he had come home 'in search of happiness'.[LNB]The former Real Madrid man also took a swipe at the tactics used by ex-City boss Mark Hughes and current gaffer Roberto Mancini.[LNB]But Bowen, who worked under Hughes, insists Robinho couldn't handle the English top flight.[LNB]'He took a lot of stick but he did massively underperform, especially awayfrom home,' Welshman Bowen told the BBC.[LNB]'I just thought that, physically, he wasn't really up to the challenges of the Premier League.'[LNB] Robinho: In Europe, the coach sends you out to run.
