Manchester City manager Mark Hughes came under fire from his own disgruntled supporters as histeam crashed 3-1 at home to Fulham in the Barclays Premier League. Hughes took a gamble before kick-off by leaving his £34million Brazilian Robinho on the substitutes' bench but saw it backfire as his side were outplayed by the London club. The City boss subsequently had to endure chants of 'You don't know what you're doing' and 'Hughesy sort it out' after Fulham went ahead for the first time in the game in the second half. Hughes and his injury-hit squad now face a hugeweek as they seek to overcome a 3-1 deficit against Hamburg in the UEFA Cup quarter-final second leg at home on Thursday and then entertain bottom club West Bromwich in the league on Saturday. On Sunday night, he defended his decision to leave Robinho out and said: 'It was the right thing todo as he has not had arest and this was thefirst opportunity I have had to give him one. 'I had the option of using Martin Petrov forthe first time in a longwhile.'
