Robinho - City fans are special

Robinho has praised Manchester City fans as 'special' and feels they are more 'vibrant' than supporters in Spain. The Brazilian striker has become a hit with the City faithful since joining the club in a British transfer record move from Real Madrid in the early weeks of the season. He has scored 11 goals in the Premier League and has particularly turned on the style in front of his own fans at the City of Manchester Stadium. The former Santos ace feels fans in England can be compared to those in Brazil and is not impressed by the supporters in Spain. "England, it is similar to Brazil," Robinho told his official website fobazo.com about the fans. "People go to the stadiums and shout the whole time, incentivising us and, if we do something special, they cheer us up. "In Spain it is a bit different. There they go to the stadiums as if going to the theatre. They sit quietly waiting for a play to then decide if they liked it or not. "If not they boo us. It is not like that in England. Here we may not play well, but as long as we are running they don't boo us, they applaud us. "The supporters are very similar to the ones in Brazil. So it is the kind that I like, in general. Of course Manchester City's is special because it is my team. "In general they are more vibrant supporters."
