Richards ready for Blackpool trip
Micah Richards has declared himself fit for Manchester City's trip to the seaside on Sunday.
The defender has been struggling with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss England's successful quest to reach the European Under-21 Championships this week.
However, happily for the 22-year-old, he has now recovered and should get a chance to build on his early-season form at Bloomfield Road as second-placed City become the latest team to try to deflate Blackpool's early-season optimism.
As with most visiting fans, it is sure to be a trip to remember for the Blues, although Richards admits a tour of the Tower and the Pleasure Beach is not that high on his holiday wish-list.
"I can't remember the last time I went for a day out to Blackpool," he told the club`s official website. "I've never been to the Illuminations, ever. I think I'd rather go somewhere I know is definitely going to be sunny."
