Richards - No Fabio talks

Micah Richards admits he has not spoken to England coach Fabio Capello after being dropped from the senior squad. Richards has 11 full caps, but he has not featured for the Three Lions since Steve McClaren's ill-fated final game in charge against Croatia in November 2007. Since taking charge Capello has preferred the likes of Wes Brown, Glen Johnson and more recently Gary Neville. Richards is currently in Sweden with the England Under-21s at the European Championship, and he insists he is determined to play his way into Capello's thoughts. "Whether I am in the Under-21s or seniors I will always be totally professional and give it my all," said the 20-year-old. "I showed that against Finland. I will do my best. My aim is to get back into the seniors, but if I have to play at this level a few more times than I will to prove myself again. "I have not spoken to Fabio. I am just trying to get my performances back up to my standard then hopefully I will be in with a shout. I think I have been up and down this season." Richards is hopeful a good performance in Sweden can help him and a number of his team-mates push for a senior place. "There is plenty of opportunity for lads in this team to move up," he said. "(Theo) Walcott and Milner are close to the seniors. "We are all wanting to show Capello what we can do and I think we have doing that."
